A video has resurfaced that shows at 14-year-old Archy Marshall – aka King Krule – auditioning for a chance to perform at Glastonbury Festival in a contest organised by Rough Trade and Youth Music. The video features Marshall introducing himself and a short clip of him performing a song. The footage also includes a snippet of an interview with him at the festival where he talks about seeing sets from The Cribs and Foals. Watch the video clip below.

King Krule recently returned with new music. On 13 April, Marshall shared new single Seaforth and announced that he’d be releasing a new album in June. Titled Space Heavy, the album is slated to come out on 9 June via XL Recordings. It marks his fourth studio album as King Krule and was written over a two-year period from 2020 to 2022. More recently, he shared the second track to be taken from the album, If Only It Was Warmth, which also came accompanied by a video directed by Marshall himself and shot by Peter Bishop.

Earlier this year, Marshall also teamed up with Jadasea and Pretty V under their collaborative alias Aqrxvst. The trio revealed the new project with a debut three-track release entitled Aqrxvst Is the Band’s Name.
