New Burial and Kode9 collaboration teased via London billboard

A new billboard appeared in east London this week, hinting at an imminent collaboration between the Hyperdub boss and the storied affiliate.

It seems there may be a new Kode9 and Burial collaboration on the way. The nature of the link-up is currently unknown, with only the pair’s names, the label’s title, three logos and a possible release date – 21 July – displayed on a new billboard in London.

The project would serve as the follow-up to the duo’s joint contribution to the Fabriclive mix series, shared in 2018. It was the final mix in the long-running series. Last year, Burial released a pair of records, Antidawn and Streetlands via Hyperdub. In February, his music was used to soundtrack a Burberry runway show as part of London Fashion Week.

Fabric Originals is a record label from Farringdon nightlife institution fabric, launched in September 2022 with a split EP from Eris Drew and Octo Octa.
