Kings Place to host Iceboy Violet, mui zyu, NikNak and more for 2024 Luminate series

The experimental-focused event series returns to its King’s Cross, London location between 10-31.

London venue Kings Place has revealed its full plans for its 2024 Luminate events series.

Taking place between 10-31 October, the likes of forward-thinking turntablist NikNak and producer mui zyu will perform, alongside a first-ever joint performance from rapper Iceboy Violet and producer Nueen who will be performing music from their collaborative album You Said You’d Hold My Hand Through the Fire, released via Hyperdub earlier this year.

On 30 October, there will also be an AD.93 label showcase, with Damsel Elysium and Jasmine Wood sharing the bill. Both artists released their debut records on the label this year. Elsewhere, artists including Drew McDowall, Eli Kezzler, Bianca Stout and Forest Swords will also perform.

The Luminate events series was set up in 2018 in order to focus on experimental artists and provide them with a unique context to show off their music in a live setting. The majority of the events will take place in Kings Place’s Hall Two room, which is fitted with a d&b Soundscape system that features 39 different speakers to create a dynamic, multidirectional listening experience.
