What’s happening at We Out Here Festival this weekend

We Out Here returns to Wimborne St Giles in Dorset this weekend, with Nala Sinephro, Batu, Kokoroko, and Loyle Carner on the bill.

Running from 14-17 August, Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here Festival is set for its sixth edition with a roster of over 100 artists ready to perform in the idyllic Dorset countryside. 

The festival’s programme begins today (Thursday 14 August), with a daytime line-up of Tina Edwards, SHOLTO, and an eight-hour set from Theo Parrish. Into the evening, Dar Disku, former Crack Magazine cover star Shy One, and Nubiyan Twist are set to perform, as well as Ikonika, Tim Reaper, Sully, Dwarde, and this month’s Crack Magazine cover star Noname.

Friday’s daytime schedule sees Gilles Peterson kick things off, followed by Channel One, Ruby Savage, and Astrid Sonne. The evening begins with a performance from Nala Sinephro, as well as Pa Salieu, James Mason, Mia Koden, and former Crack Magazine: The Collections cover star Batu. The evening will close out with a solo set from Josey Rebelle, followed by a b2b with Ben UFO

Saturday’s daytime highlights include Marysia Osu, Smith & Mighty featuring Tammy Payne, Bukky Leo, Lex Amor, and Rotary Connection 22. The evening programme opens with sets from Luke Una, Bashy, Hunee, Neffa-T, and Azu Tiwaline, followed by Al Wootton, K Means & i-sha, Peverelist & Yushh, Om Unit, CCL, Roni Size, and Objekt

The final day of the festival welcomes Kahil El’Zabar, Aba-Shanti-I, Ganavya, Emma-Jean Thackray, and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith in the daytime. While the evening highlights include Jimi Tenor, Kokoroko, Jamz Supernova, Addison Groove & Sister Zo, and Loyle Carner, stepping in for Michael Kiwanuka, closing out the main stage. The festival’s remaining closing sets come courtesy of Gilles Peterson, Sam Binga & Fracture, and 4AM KRU. 

Alongside the music programme, We Out Here will host a range of talks in the Talks Tent, from artist interviews to spoken word and immersive performances.
