6 New Videos You Need To See

Each week we round-up the best new music videos out there

With the advent of high-speed internet, we’re living in a bit of a golden age for the music video – but we’re also reaching a point where you see at least one of the bloody things every time you open your eyes.

The question is, how do you know which videos are stone cold classics and which are just dust in the wind of the World Wide Web?

As usual, we’re here to help! We’ve rounded up the best clips from the last seven days from the far-flung recesses of the internet.

Check them out after the drop.

Rihanna – Kiss It Better

Directed by Craig McDean

My only wish is to gaze at myself with as much lust as Rihanna does in her Work video, and here she only grows only more incandescently sultry and glamorous. A wonder to behold.

Big Grams - Born To Shine + Run For Your Life

What is it about cartoons doing naughty adult things that make them so compulsive to watch? In this Adult Swim animation for Big Boi and Phantogram’s new amalgamation Big Grams, we get to observe the naughtiest cartoons ever as they snort, steal and deal while Death spins on the decks.

Father - Slide Thru (ft. Stalin Majesty & Archibald SLIM)

Good-natured filth merchant (and Awful Records boss) Father lazily shoots the shit around town with his mates.

He is also wearing a super good jumper.

Commodo - Hadi Hadi Ah

Directed by RUFFMERCY

Oh my days Commodo came through with this one. His new track Hadi Hadi Ah is a middle-Eastern led hip-hop jam with some serious bass. The video, directed by Bristolian animator RUFFMERCY is a suitably wonky, psychedelic affair that feels distinctly 90s and totally futuristic at the same time.

Tacocat – Dana Katherine Scully

Directed by Lelah Maupin and Emily Nokes

I’ve seen X-Files maybe twice so I’m probably not the best authority on this. Having said that I would literally trust these millennial upstarts with my actual fingerprints so I’m happy to just put all my faith behind their intentions and say “great job Tacocat!”

Popcaan – VVIP

Directed by Popcaan

I had to watch this at work, obviously, but you really shouldn’t. No. Really.
