In Photos: Afropunk London 2018

Moving from its former home at Printworks to Brixton, Afropunk returned to the UK capital in September to stage a takeover of the south London hub.

A sprawling celebration of blackness and diversity, Afropunk’s line-up covered a range of genres, traversing classic hip-hop to rap, soul to jazz, Afrobeats and more. Artists across the extensive programme included Nubya Garcia, DJ Spoony and the BBZ collective.

Photographer Francis Augusto caught up with the artists backstage, and had time to capture the festival’s unique atmosphere across Brixton too. Check out his images below.
