Fans of Clio Peppiatt’s pink-hued whimsy won’t be disappointed with her latest collection, Kiss the Future.

The designer continues in her crusade to build a wardrobe for the strong modern female taking Mars Attacks!, The Fifth Element and Blade Runner as sci-fi inspiration.

UFOs float on a purple skirt and matching jacket featuring a pointed lime green collar, and silver discs cover the nipples on a sheer purple top with a high collar and round cut-out on the chest. The designer continues to work with faux fur, this season tangerine trim on a mauve cropped bolero style jacket. Pop socks are adorned with silver stars and a leather skirt with scalloped hem features a white cat toying with a desktop mouse. This season, leather and faux fur handbags come with in-built tech allowing her rebooted sci-fi chicks to charge their phones while on the go.

Peppiatt’s sense of humour and playful approach to craft aims to bring empowerment and due complexity to the modern woman and it remains the heart of her work.

We visited Clio in her studio earlier this year. See the feature here.
