In Photos: Caribou live in London
Following the announcement of his first album in four years under the Caribou alias, Dan Snaith brought euphoric energy to a tiny east London basement
Caribou is back. Four years since the release of 2020’s Suddenly, the most recent album from Dan Snaith under the Caribou alias, Dan Snaith recently announced new album Honey, which is set to be released on 4 October via City Slang, along with a world tour that will take him from Brussels to Brisbane. To celebrate and provide a warm up of sorts, he organised a small string of four intimate shows at east London’s 120 capacity basement The Waiting Room, taking place each evening between 8-11 of September.
Crack Magazine photographer Jess Eli Hill went with her camera on Monday to capture the occasion. It was a euphoric knees up, with Dan Snaith masks aplenty found throughout the crowd, while onstage he worked through vintage hand-raisers such as Can’t Do Without You and fresh material from the album, including a raucous rendition of the recently released album title track.
