Since its first-ever edition in 1989, Dour Festival has been transforming a sleepy area of southern Belgium into a loud celebration of music of all stripes.

As usual, 2024’s line-up was packed with heavy hitters from across the genre spectrum. With roughly 250,000 attendees moving through its turnstiles over the festival’s five days, there was something for everyone across its eight stages, from the indie nostalgia of headliners The Libertines to Bronx rapper of the moment Ice Spice, as well as former Crack cover stars Arca, Rema, LSDXOXO and Bar Italia.

There was plenty of gems to be found deep into the undercard as well, with standout moments from Shygirl, KOKOROKO and Obongjayar. Drawing in names from across the world, Dour’s electronic music-focused stage Le Rockamadour welcomed Barcelona queer collective MARICAS alongside a special set from piano virtuoso Dorian Dumont reinterpreting Aphex Twin’s music in classical style.
