From 5-7 July, art and electronic music festival Lost made a triumphant, sold-out return to the world’s largest labyrinth.

Parma’s labyrinthine wonder, the Labirinto della Masone, transformed into a hub of experimental art and culture for this year’s edition of Lost (Labyrinth Original Sound Track) Music Festival. This immersive event, now in its fourth iteration, lured a crowd of 2,500 into its seven-hectare maze, comprised of more than 200,000 bamboo plants.

Highlights included the world premieres of Amnesia Scanner’s PSYCHO.CHAT and Varg2™’s Nordic Flora Series, as well as cello-backed incantations from Astrid Sonne and a standout collaboration by Maria W. Horn and Sara Parkman with Funeral Folk – an emotionally charged blend of Scandinavian folklore and drone metal. Other notable performances included Joanne Robertson, James K, and Billy Bultheel with Alexander Iezzi, the heads behind 33. Despite Lost’s predilection for live performances, curator Luca Giudici handpicked a dynamic roster of world-class DJs to perform too, featuring sets from Shyboi, Judahh, ZULI, NPLGNN, and many more.
