Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.

Since stepping out as a solo artist with her 2015 single Stillbirth – and following her long-awaited debut solo album, Prey//IV, in 2022 – Alice Glass has established herself as a beguiling force within the contemporary pop landscape.

Distilling deeply personal pain, power and catharsis into her work, the Canadian artist has crafted a singular creative world. One which she expresses via brooding hyperpop, dark trap and haunting electronica.

This coming May, Glass is set to play Brockwell Park for Wide Awake Festival. Ahead of this – and with new music and collaborations on the horizon – she curates a playlist featuring Shygirl, the late SOPHIE, Aqua, Babymetal and A. G. Cook. “This playlist is a collection of some of my favorite hype up songs,” she says, “listen to it with me while we’re getting ready for Wide Awake”. We’ll certainly have this on repeat in anticipation.
