Listen to a playlist for journeys along country roads curated by Alfa Mist

Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.

To coincide with playing this year’s WOMAD Festival, the global music festival in Wiltshire that also celebrates the arts, dance, food and culture, Newham-based contemporary jazz artist, Alfa Mist has curated a playlist for soundtracking journeys along country roads.

Fitting for a festival nestled among idyllic, rural surrounds dedicated to the discovery of a broad range of new music. Also fitting for an artist whose music is regularly described as a journey. An ever evolving collection of albums exploring different genres, rarely taking listeners in the same direction. Music to move to. Music to play as the infinite possibilities of the car window pass by.

“My theme for Selections is country road journeys,” says Alfa Mist. “I listen to music on my travels non-stop, and coming to WOMAD will be no different.”
