Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.

There’s something to be said about ‘tears-in-the-club’ dance music: anthemic melodies, longing vocals and flashes of pop woven together and presented in such a way you can’t help but experience a seismic shift to your mood.

London-based producer and DJ TSHA is rather adept at this kind of music-making, as evidenced on releases such as 2020’s Flowers and 2021’s OnlyL – both of which she shared via Ninja Tune. Having first discovered electronic music through her older brother, a fellow DJ, TSHA cut her teeth at local nightclubs and on independent radio stations such as Worldwide FM and Rinse. In the time since her debut EP Dawn, released in 2018, she’s been on an upward trajectory that doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. From her solo releases through to remixes for a wide-roaming cast of artists including Lianne La Havas, Silk City, Griff and J Balvin – not forgetting her recent fabric presents compilation – TSHA’s take on emotionally-rooted house music and other euphoric offshoots remains in high demand.

We’re delighted, then, that she found the time to whip up an exclusive playlist comprised of electrifying house, amapiano, slamming techno and stacks more. Drawing from her personal stash of recent favourites and setlist must-haves, tune in to hear tracks from the likes of Dance System, Effy and Peach.

TSHA plays Lost and Found Festival, Malta, on 1-4 June
