Madlib and Four Tet have unveiled a new track from their forthcoming collaborative album.
Dirtknock is the latest track to be shared from the Sound Ancestors album which lands on 29 January via the Madlib Invazion label.
Sound Ancestors has been in the works for “a couple of years”. Four Tet has previously said, “[Madlib] is always making loads of music in all sorts of styles and I was listening to some of his new beats and studio sessions when I had the idea that it would be great to hear some of these ideas made into a Madlib solo album.”

Earlier this month, the duo shared another track from the record entitled Hopprock. Four Tet recently released the two LPs Parallel and 871 on Christmas Day. Madlib’s last full-length project was his 2019 LP Bandana with Freddie Gibbs.
