The London-founded station has tapped 10 special guest curators for a week of birthday broadcasts.
NTS Radio is turning 10. To mark the milestone occasion, the station is enlisting an international cast of artists and friends for a week of special broadcasts across both of its channels. From 19 to 23 April, NTS will be curated by artists such as Amaarae, Arca, Laurie Anderson, Mica Levi, My Bloody Valentine and Theo Parrish. The Simpsons creator Matt Groening has also been confirmed. In a statement, NTS said that the 10 guest curators will offer “a mix of guest radio shows, soundscapes, conversations and performances.”
Arca confirmed her involvement in the NTS 10 celebrations on Instagram. She reposted the station’s flyer and captioned the image, “10 YEARS OF @nts_radio , my favorite radio ❤️ are you ready for the dolls?”
She added: “i got very very very special guests coming through to spoil your ears and kiss you thru the airwaves in the hopes of striking a synergy resonance 🌹 did you know the first Arca live show ever was put on by @nts_radio in london at the ICA? they believed in me and jesse to put on a shot and trusted us to do our thing in a way no one else had . i <3 u nts.”
Over the course of its birthday week, NTS Radio will be raising funds for the Global Foodbanking Network. The full NTS 10 schedule will be released on Wednesday (14 April). Find out more here.
