The SHAPE alumnus models in the new fashion editorial.
Golin has shared a new project which sees the electronic artist collaborate with photographer Nikola Lamburov and stylist Hamish Wirgman. The photo series was shot in London earlier this year, following on from her recent contribution to YEAR0001’s second compilation RIFT Two.
Last year, the Japanese-American musician self-released a string of singles and also featured the on track Pose! from Himera‘s Sharing Secrets album. Golin also teamed up with Varg²™ for the Year0001–released track WITHOUT WAVES: 消える. These latest tracks and collaborations followed on from her most recent EP Crush, which she put out via Twin Records in 2020.
Since the release of her self-produced debut EP Momo in 2017, Golin has also taken part in a two-year residency at Beursschouwburg in Brussels and formed part of the SHAPE (an earlier iteration of SHAPE+) platform cohort in 2018 alongside the likes of Caterina Barbieri, Giant Swan, Pan Daijing, JASSS, Nkisi and more.
SHAPE+ – which is dedicated to innovative music and audiovisual arts – recently shared an open call for its next programme. Applications are open to Europe-based artists now and the deadline is this Friday (31 March).
Current SHAPE+ artist Perila is the latest musician to contribute to our Sunday Mix series, providing a dreamy “sonic bath” dedicated to “all forms of evaporation”. Listen to the mix below.
Golin is set to play a handful of shows in the coming months, including a performance at Knockdown Center in New York on 28 April. See the rest of Golin’s new fashion project in the gallery below.
