Yeule

The Austrian festival has added more names to its programme for 2023.

Donaufestival returns from 28-30 April and 5-7 May. The festival has expanded its line-up with the likes of Slauson Malone, Moin, Yeule, BIG|Brave and Nyege Nyege Tapes’ Nihiloxica confirmed to play. Also joining the bill there’s Phew, Nwando Ebizie and a collaborative AV performance from Italian multi-instrumentalist Heith with visuals from DECLINO.

Other previously announced artists set to play include Lingua Ignota, Puce Mary, Zebra Katz and Marina Herlop. Former Crack Magazine cover stars Arooj Aftab and Omar Souleyman are also headed to Krems – where the festival takes place – as are RP Boo, DJ Lag and Amnesica Scanner.

Alongside the music, the festival’s programme also encompasses theatre, film and sound art. As part of this, Donaufestival will host sound art works from Felix Blume and Ernst Lima. The theatre programme will feature the Austrian premiere of Harald Beharie’s performance and an immersive art and installation piece entitled Toxic Temple.

Following the last concert on the Friday and Saturday of each weekend, Donaufestival will head to Halle 2 for DJ sets from DJ ADHS Lene, Inou Ki Endo, Blyskawica & Gasolina and DJ Ebhardy.

Donaufestival will be held across various venues in Krems. Tickets are on sale now. Head to the festival’s website for tickets and further information.
