The innovative music and visual arts platform has shared an open call for its next working period.
SHAPE+ has opened submissions to artists for its 2024/2025 roster. The platform – co-funded by the European Union – is aimed at supporting and boosting Europe-based artists’ careers through collaborative residencies, commissioned artworks and performances.
The third round of SHAPE+ – which follows on from the previous SHAPE Platform programme – will run from 15 July 2024 to 14 July 2025. Applications are open now to musicians and artists working with sound. 51 artists will be selected by the participating venues and festivals for the next round of SHAPE+.
Successful artists are expected to pursue greener forms of travel where possible and will participate in collaborative residencies, one-off performances, presentations and educational events as well as artist meet-ups.
SHAPE+ is comprised of 17 festivals including Unsound, Terraforma, Construction Festival, Mutant Radio, CTM Festival and Intonal. Swiss festival Full of Lava is also set to join the platform, opening up applications to Switzerland-based artists as well.
Deadline for applications is 23:59 CET on 31 March 2024. Full eligibility criteria is detailed in the application form.
The current SHAPE+ cohort includes Nexcyia, Félicia Atkinson, Xexa, ojoo, NZE NZE, Petra Hermanova and oldyungmayn.
