Festival favourites Genosys, IICON and NYC Downlow return, while the area has also announced a brand new Downlow Day Party, headlined by François K on the Saturday.
Block9, Glastonbury Festival’s immersive electronic music corner, has announced plans for its 2024 edition.
Its recurring slate of late-night dancefloors – IICON, Genosys, NYC Downlow and The Meat Rack – return, with Genosys reappearing in the form of the towering glass and concrete arena that debuted in 2013, following a five-year hiatus. Honey Dijon will headline the stage on Friday night, alongside with appearances from OK Williams, Felix Dickinson, Bashkka and more.
The area’s much loved queer club NYC Downlow also return with sets coming from the likes of Tama Sumo & Lakuti, Prosumer, Heléna Star, DJ Spen, Nat Wendell, and NYC Downlow head-honcho Gideön. It will also host a brand-new Saturday day party, Downlow Day Party, which will be headlined by French born, US house and techno icon François K, who will be joined by NYC Downlow favourites Dungeon Meat and Sean McCabe.
The Meat Rack, a separate club room located inside NYC Downlow will double in size this year, with DJs including Peach, Moxie, and Subb-an gracing its decks.
Those playing in front of the brutalist, expansive IICON head include drum’n’bass legend Goldie, DJ Python, DJ Stingray 313, Charisse C, Deena Abdelwahed and Bicep, who present their new AV DJ set Chroma.
Block9 will again partner this year with HIV prevention activists PrEPster, while money raised from NYC Downlow’s moustaches will fundraise for a number of charities including Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
