From Ben UFO to DJ Travella, here’s what went down at Nuits sonores 2026.
Nuits sonores returned to Lyon from 13–17 May for another week of daytime programming and late-night sets across the city. This year’s edition brought together generations of club innovators and experimental live acts, with Radio Lab broadcasts and Nuits sonores Lab discussions running throughout.
Wednesday warmed us up for the festival with highlight sets from Heinali and Andriana-Yaroslava Saienko, as well as Mala. The following day, a packed daytime programme saw Skream & Benga and Craig Richards b2b Ivan Smagghe draw huge crowds, before Kittin with MRC-T, Carrier, and Ben UFO took over after dark. Friday’s standouts included HAAi b2b Leftfield and gyrofield during the day, while Omoloko and DJ Travella delivered some of the weekend’s most memorable nighttime moments.
Over the weekend, Saturday brought performances from DJ Babatr, HHY & The Kampala Unit live, and Powell, before Sunday wrapped with audiovisual performances from Batu with Leeza Pritychenko, a live show from Emma-Jean Thackray, Vril & Wata Igarashi presenting Phantom Circuits live, and a set from Dinamarca.
