Since its inception in 1994, Sonic Acts has continued to provide an abundant platform for forward-thinking electronic music and digital arts.

This year, the biennial event returned to Amsterdam from 30 September to 23 October. The opening clubnight saw sets from Kai Whiston, Akiko Haruna, April222 and Soda Plains, whilst the rest of the festival featured performances from the likes of Félicia Atkinson, Sarah Davachi, Ale Hop and Debit.

In addition to the music programme, the workshops, talks and exhibition form an integral part of Sonic Acts and this year was no different. The recent edition featured an exhibition on climate change as well as a symposium, entitled Leaving Traces, centred on the impact of pollution.
