Ahead of her debut album release, British rapper Stefflon Don joins forces with blended Scotch whisky brand Chivas for the launch of the limited edition Chivas 12 x Stefflon Don bottle and bespoke ‘The Don’ cocktail. Through their I Rise, We Rise campaign, Chivas and Stefflon Don are celebrating those who are redefining success and taking their contemporaries with them.

Forget what you heard, Stefflon Don is stepping into a new, more vulnerable era.

“All I’ve been doing is twerking,” she laughs. “Now it’s time to ask: who’s Steff?” The 31-year old rapper has spent the last two years working on her long-awaited and highly anticipated debut album, Island 54. The 20-track collection aims to jet set listeners to “Steffi’s private tropical island”. Leaning into the rapper’s Jamaican roots, expect more dancehall bangers infused with reggae and afrobeats rhythms.

This time the London-based, Birmingham-born artist has tapped into her feelings. “It’s a melting pot of greatness,” she beams, “Finally I’ve mastered how to speak about my emotions without being embarrassed. On the album I speak a lot about heartbreak and certain relationships and it’s actually real. I feel empowered.”

Don kicked off her album campaign with an exclusive rooftop party celebrating her latest collaboration with Scotch whisky Chivas at The Mondrian hotel in East London where she unveiled her new Chivas 12 x Stefflon Don bottle. In the summer heat guests including Headie One and Ms Banks gathered to see the unveiling of the new bottle and witness the video release of her latest single, What’s Popping – a smooth afrobeats hit featuring Nigerian vocalist Buju BNXN.

As Stefflon Don’s signature Chivas 12 was flowing. The rapper has partnered with the luxury drinks label for the global ‘I Rise, We Rise’ campaign – championing the next generation of whisky drinkers to forge new paths to success. Alongside the limited edition bottle, they have also created a summer cocktail, aptly named ‘The Don’ – inspired by the themes in Steff’s upcoming record. With pineapple juice, orange juice, raspberry syrup, lime and Chivas 12, of course, it’s suitably tropical. “I was born in England but I was made in Jamaica. It’s got the Caribbean flavour” she says. The mood also continues onto the physical bottle with palm tree illustrations and Steff’s signature in a glowing neon.

Speaking of the partnership, Steff commented: “Everyone knows I’m a fan of Chivas, so I’m glad the news is finally out there that we’ve teamed up to drop our own bottle inspired by my new album. The design is also pure summer vibes – the label, the colours, the artwork – everything about it is a true work of art and only the start of our journey!”

With a new era of music, comes a new wave of energy. As she prepares to go on tour, Don is thinking about ways she can push her limits to achieve musical “world domination”.

So what should fans expect from her live performances? “You’re gonna have the best experience of your life. I’m here to entertain, not do karaoke,” she says confidently. “If you don’t like it, don’t fuck with it. But you’re gonna love everything.”
