Since its first ever edition as a humble day festival in South London, GALA has grown to become one of the most circled dates in the capital’s music calendar.

Taking place in Peckham Rye Park over the spring bank holiday weekend, the three-dayer has become an unofficial curtain raiser for the summer festival season – a chance to gather and dance to music coming from near and far, and see established acts play alongside the most exciting rising artists.

2024’s line-up features a diverse, confident selection of live sounds and hip moving DJs, and to warm you up, we’ve curated three special mixes to get those summer feelings flowing.

Jhumka

As a member of the South Asian championing collective Daytimers, Jhumka’s sound has been forged over oceans, having spent considerable time moving in between the UK capital and Singapore. Ahead of her Saturday appearance, the now London-based riser takes us into the darker hours with a blend of electro, proggy trance sounds and 90s-influnced techno.

OMOLOKO

A leading light of Belo Horizonte’s underground, 101Ø party starter OMOLOKO touches down in SE15 as part of his European tour. For a taste of what he has cooking, he gives us a 45- minute preview with an energising kuduro set.

Facta

The Wisdom Teeth co-head – who will be playing back-to-back with label running mate K-Lone – provides 50 minutes of looping grooves, tightly-woven broken beats, and shuffling garage. Dancey, yet with ample weirdness, it’s one to get you excited for the floor.
