Shygirl to release Nymph deluxe edition featuring Björk, Tinashe and Eartheater

Entitled Nymph_o, the new version of the artist’s debut album is scheduled for release in April.

Shygirl has announced a deluxe edition of her 2022 full-length Nymph. Curated by the London-based artist herself, the forthcoming release includes reworks by and featuring the likes of Björk, Arca, Eartheater and Fatima Al Qadiri. Erika de Casier, Deto Black and Sevdaliza also appear alongside Tinashe – who guests on lead single Heaven, which you can check out in the player above.

Björk’s vocal contribution to Woe, the opening track on the original version of Nymph, marks the second collaboration between the Icelandic artist and Shygirl, following the release of a Shygirl and Sega Bodega remix of the Björk track Ovule. That song was lifted from Björk’s latest album, Fossora.

Nymph featured in our Albums of the Year list in 2022. At the time, we described the record as revealing “the vulnerable soul underneath [Shygirl’s] bravado”.

Nymph_o is due out on 14 April via Because Music. Revisit our Nymph review and listen back to an Eartheater mix below.
