L’Rain, Space Afrika and Rainy Miller join line-up for Simple Things 2024

The Bristol-based festival has announced a second wave of acts set to play its upcoming 10th edition.

New artists confirmed for Simple Things include UK rap artist CASISDEAD, who will perform live, plus a set from L’Rain featuring work from her new album I Killed Your Dog. Space Afrika, Rainy Miller, Fat Dog and Deep Tan also join the bill alongside local Bristol acts such as Quade, MP3 Chainsaw and Silver Waves.

A series of takeover from Bristol-based crews have also been announced. PTS will be hosting a takeover in the new cellar space at Bristol Beacon with Clarity, Fig, Nkisi, ThisisDA and back-to-backs from the likes of Alya L and Guest, k means with Jurango and Tom E.Vercetti b2b Chemist Torus. At Strange Brew, Damnatio Memoriae will be hosting the daytime programme at the venue whilst SNOG will be curating the line-up for the night with acts for these takeovers to be announced soon.

The 2024 festival events will run between 23-29 February and will be centered around a full day of music on 24 February followed by a separately ticketed night programme. The new additions to the line-up join previously confirmed acts such as Evian Christ, George Riley, Giant Swan, DJ Python, Nick León and more. On 29 February, Fever Ray is set to play the festival’s closing show at the recently re-opened Bristol Beacon.
