At this year’s ADE, Chloé Caillet, TSHA and more dropped into the Spotify Huis for two days of music and conversation.

ADE returned to Amsterdam for five days last week, bringing dance music’s artists and industry together for an extensive programme of showcases, club nights, panels, exhibitions and more.

While conversation often looked to the future of music, or honoured the history of the scenes and genres shaping it today, Spotify Huis provided a place to indulge completely in the present. Held in the centre of the city at coworking and meeting space Meet Berlage on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 October, it was designed to provide a sanctuary from busy days and nights – somewhere to grab refreshments and recharge with complimentary ADE survival kits. Inevitably, it also became a hot spot for meeting new people and making connections.

Across the two-day period, a host of artists passed through the space: Ninja Tune rising star TSHA touched down at the pop-up, as did Parisian DJ/producer Chloé Caillet, South African house ambassador Desiree, HoneyLuv, Carlita and many more.

Spotify also hosted a series of panel talks on-site at the Huis, covering topics including the empowerment of women’s voices in dance music, how the editorial team works with new technology to spotlight talent, advice for artists navigating a release cycle, and a deep dive into the subgenres of the German electronic landscape.

Our photographer Nikola Lamburov was on the ground, capturing candid portraits of artists and creatives as they made use of the venue. Look back in the photos below.
