Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.

For this instalment, Spanish DJ, model, designer and stylist SITA (a.k.a. Sita Abellán) lets loose as she shares a pacey array of hard dance and body-moving club cuts, with tracks from the likes of Venetian Snares, Miss Bashful and Héctor Oaks inside.

Already well-known as a stylist to the stars, and with a successful jewellery business under her belt, Abellán’s more recent endeavours have seen her pairing a proven creative aptitude with a long-standing love for electronic music and club culture. In 2022, she launched the inclusive party series OUTOPIA in Barcelona, and has since played out at events such as Secret Project, III Points and Sónar México.

Elsewhere, and under her techno-rooted new alias SITA, she’s made her debut as a producer, too. GENERACION XDISIS, her warehouse-ready first EP, landed last week (15 January) via Héctor Oaks’ KAOS label, and featured a collaboration with Venezuela-born artist Cardopusher (or Safety Trance). Discussing the project in a statement, Abellán said that it represented “an artistic evolution, a journey into the deepest parts of my being” and that, for her, the four-track release was a means to open up further “through my music, authentic communication, and a manifestation of my ever-evolving best self.”

For our Selections series, Sita spotlights music from the new release in the form of playlist opener, Diabla, before careening through a streamlined set of ecstatically erratic uptempo tracks. “This is a playlist of music that transports me to another dimension in my own OUTOPIA world,” she tells Crack Magazine, “representative of some of the music I love.”
