Closing the summer festival season, MEO Kalorama celebrated this year’s most talked-about artists alongside Lisbon’s innovative music scene

Pairing world-renowned acts like Massive Attack, Burna Boy and LCD Soundsystem with Portuguese stars like Ana Lua Caiano, Cláudia Pascoal and Ana Moura, MEO Kalorama‘s 2024 programme underlined the festival’s place at the forefront of Lisbon’s music scene.

Elsewhere on the line-up, soulful talent Jalen Ngonda delivered a warming set on the first night alongside songwriters like Vagabon and Filipe Catto, before a stellar headline set courtesy of Massive Attack.

Olivia Dean captivated the audience with a heartfelt show on the second evening, cementing her reputation as one of the UK’s most prominent rising artists, along with Ezra Collective, who have also been on a tear as of late with grooves that had everyone dancing.

Fellow Mercury Prize winners English Teacher performed tracks from their acclaimed debut album, with bands like Yard Act, The Kills and Death Cab For Cutie also performing key sets across the weekend. A standout moment was the ever-enigmatic Yves Tumor, whose electrifying stage presence left a lasting impression on the audience on the final night of the festival.
