MUTEK returns to Montréal from 25–30 August for its 27th edition, bringing close to 120 artists from 28 countries to venues across the Quartier des spectacles.

Highlights include the world premiere of Jeff Mills’ Stargate, Fennesz & Lillevan marking 25 years of Endless Summer, a new live audiovisual show from Rival Consoles, and the return of Donato Dozzy and Neel’s Voices From The Lake. Elsewhere, Kali Malone and Kara-Lis Coverdale perform at the Maison symphonique, gyrofield gives a world-premiere live performance, and Violent Magic Orchestra, Evicshen, Polygonia, Ben UFO, Facta, Nazar, Purelink with Mika Oki and Matthew Herbert appear across the week.

Running alongside the main programme from 26–28 August, MUTEK Forum brings together more than 100 artists, researchers and technologists for talks, workshops, performances and discussions spanning AI, sound, ecology and digital art. The expanded MUTEK Market also runs across the three days, connecting Canadian and Québec artists and creative studios with international curators, programmers and other industry professionals through meetings and networking events.

Who: Various artists, including Toronto-based electronica duo Pick a Piper
What: Free of charge, the Expérience series offers live performances open to local audiences, festival attendees, and those just passing through. Envisioned as a space for discovery and exchange across the spectrum of electronic music, the series brings together ambient, techno, bass music, electronica, and hybrid forms where instruments, voices, and machines intersect. Each evening concludes with a surprise DJ set
